The home buying process can be challenging, which is why The Schuman Team is here to walk you through step-by-step and streamline the process. We know all the right questions to ask and are equipped with the important answers.

STEP 1

Connect & Discuss Options

During our initial call or meeting, we'll get to know you and your goals and determine if we want to work together. We'll also take this time to explain how we plan to represent and guide you at every step of the process.

STEP 2

Get Pre-Approved

The last thing you want to do is fall in love with a home that's simply outside of your price range. Getting pre-approved for a loan will prevent this from happening and allow you to focus on looking at homes that not only meet your criteria but fit within your price range. We have solid relationships with many lenders and are happy to make an introduction. The right lender can also help strengthen your offer when in a multiple offer situation.

STEP 3

Find the One

Not only will we send you listings that meet your criteria, but we'll also set you up on MLS alerts so new listings are sent straight to your inbox. After browsing homes online and visiting the ones you really love in person, we'll get together and decide which home is the one!

STEP 4

Write an Offer

We'll offer our professional opinion of value and help you write a strong offer, which is important in a competitive market. Lucky for you, we know what it takes to make your offer standout in a crowd. We will share our very best tips with you. You can count on us to always do what's in your best interest.

STEP 5

Navigate Contingencies

From contract to close there are many things to oversee including but not limited to a home inspection, radon testing, financing and appraisal. During this time, we work closely with our buyers to make sure no detail is overlooked. If there are no contingencies in the contract, then you simply await settlement.

STEP 6

Close & Celebrate!

Congratulations! It's time to close on your dream home. On closing day, we will do a final walkthrough of your home and sign the closing documents. Once everything is complete, you’ll receive the keys and you officially become a homeowner!!
